I attended grammar school at Leinkauf junior high (8th grade) at Barton Academy and high school at Murphy in Mobile, AL.

I was a Music and Drama Major at the University of Alabama.
In later years I took some courses at Loyola University in New Orleans, plus a couple of non-credit courses at the
University of New Orleans.
